Loire Valley Châteaux Private Tour

The Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to the most beautiful châteaux of the French Renaissance. Located about 180 kilometers southwest of Paris, this royal territory was the setting for the kings of France, from Francis I to Henry II through Catherine de' Medici. Our private day tour offers a dive into five centuries of history, without logistical constraints.

The classic programme includes two or three châteaux at your pace: Chambord, the most monumental with its famous double-helix staircase attributed to Leonardo da Vinci; Chenonceau, the ladies' château suspended over the Cher river; and Amboise, royal residence where Leonardo da Vinci is buried at Clos Lucé. The early morning departure (8am from Paris) lets you arrive before the tourist coaches.

Your professional driver takes you from one château to another in the comfort of a premium vehicle. With short distances between châteaux (15-40 km), the pace is pleasant. At lunch, we recommend a gourmet meal at one of the region's excellent restaurants: Auberge des Templiers, Domaine des Hauts de Loire, or the tables of Vouvray paired with local wines.

The afternoon may include a third château if time allows (Cheverny, Villandry for its gardens, or Blois). The return to Paris is in the late afternoon, around 7pm. For wine enthusiasts, we can also include a tasting at Vouvray or Chinon. A day of pure elegance in an incomparable setting.
