Champagne Private Tour

150 kilometers northeast of Paris, Champagne offers one of the most prestigious terroirs in the world. Birthplace of the sparkling wine that bears its name, this region — a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2015 — is home to the legendary houses that have shaped the history of French luxury. Our private tour takes you into the heart of the chalk cellars, in the silence of the underground where millions of bottles age.

The day begins in Reims, city of the coronation of the kings of France. The Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Reims, a Gothic masterpiece, deserves a visit before plunging into the cellars. In Reims, we recommend a visit to Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger or Ruinart — the oldest Champagne house (1729). Each visit includes a tasting of iconic cuvées in cellars listed as World Heritage.

In the afternoon, head to Épernay and its famous Avenue de Champagne, where the façades of the great houses line up: Moët & Chandon, Pol Roger, Perrier-Jouët, Mercier. The Moët cellars stretch 28 kilometers and preserve the world's greatest cuvées, including vintage Dom Pérignon. A tasting there is an exceptional moment.

For lunch, several gourmet options: Le Parc in Reims (Michelin starred), Royal Champagne in the heart of the vineyards, or Le Théâtre in Épernay. The return to Paris is in the late afternoon, around 7pm. For enthusiasts, we can combine with a visit to an independent grower-producer for a more intimate experience.
